Refund Policy

1. Overview
This Refund Policy explains how subscriptions, cancellations, and refund requests are handled for the Animy website (animy.ai) and related applications and services (the "Service"), operated by Individual Entrepreneur Atambaev Nurbek Kerimovich ("Animy," "we," "us," or "our").
This Refund Policy is part of our Terms of Service. By subscribing to a paid plan, you agree to this Refund Policy.
2. Subscription Structure
Animy offers a free tier with limited capacity and paid subscription plans (Plus and Pro) with greater monthly capacity. Plans are available in weekly, monthly, and annual billing periods. Current pricing is displayed within the Service before checkout and may vary by region based on automatic localization. All prices are in USD unless otherwise indicated.
No free trial is currently offered for paid plans. The free tier serves as the evaluation experience.
3. Payment Processing — Paddle as Merchant of Record
All payments and subscriptions are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited ("Paddle") acting as Merchant of Record. This has direct consequences for billing and refunds:
- Paddle, not Animy, is the seller of record for every transaction;
- Paddle charges your payment method and issues your invoice or receipt;
- Paddle collects and remits applicable VAT or sales tax in your jurisdiction;
- Paddle, not Animy, appears on your bank or card statement;
- Refunds, when granted, are processed by Paddle and credited back to the original payment method.
You can manage your subscription, request a refund, and contact billing support directly through Paddle's customer portal at https://paddle.net.
4. Cancellation
You may cancel your paid subscription at any time. You can cancel through:
- Your Animy account settings (subscription management page);
- Paddle's customer portal at https://paddle.net;
- Contacting us at team@animy.ai or contacting Paddle billing support directly.
Upon cancellation:
- Your subscription remains active until the end of the current billing period;
- You retain access to all paid features until the end of the period you have already paid for;
- No further charges will be made after the current billing period ends;
- Your account automatically reverts to the free tier at the end of the paid period.
5. Refund Policy
Animy is a digital service with substantial per-use computational costs. Each stylization and animation triggers paid third-party AI processing on our side. As a general rule:
Subscription payments are non-refundable once the billing period has begun and any usage has occurred.
This means:
- No partial or prorated refunds will be issued for unused portions of a billing period;
- Cancellation does not entitle you to a refund of the current period;
- Subscription fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable regardless of how much capacity you use, except as set out below.
6. When Refunds Are Available
Refunds may be available in the following limited circumstances:
6.1 Statutory Consumer Rights (EU, UK, and Equivalent)
Where applicable consumer-protection law grants you a statutory right of withdrawal — for example, the 14-day cooling-off right for distance contracts under European Union and United Kingdom consumer law — that right is honored and prevails over the general no-refund rule. Note that under the same laws, the right of withdrawal does not apply once digital content has been supplied with your prior express consent and acknowledgment that the right is thereby lost. By generating a stylized image or animation, you may be deemed to have consumed digital content for the purposes of these laws.
Where you have a valid statutory refund right that has not been lost, contact Paddle at https://paddle.net or contact us at team@animy.ai. Paddle, as Merchant of Record, will process the refund.
6.2 Billing Errors
If you were charged incorrectly due to a technical or processing error, contact us at team@animy.ai or Paddle at https://paddle.net. Verified billing errors will be refunded.
6.3 Duplicate Charges
If you were charged more than once for the same billing period, the duplicate charge will be refunded.
6.4 Material Service Outage
If a material and extended outage of the Service (as determined by Animy in good faith) prevented you from using the Service for a significant portion of your billing period, we will review your case and may issue a partial or full refund at our discretion.
6.5 Other Circumstances
Outside the categories above, refund decisions are at Animy's sole discretion. Animy and Paddle each reserve the right to grant a refund in an individual case without that decision establishing a general policy.
7. How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, contact either:
- Paddle billing support at https://paddle.net (recommended — fastest route as Paddle processes the refund);
- Animy directly at team@animy.ai.
Please include:
- The email address associated with your account;
- The date and amount of the charge;
- A description of the reason for your request;
- Any relevant screenshots, transaction IDs, or supporting information.
We will review and respond to refund requests within a reasonable timeframe (typically 7 business days). Refunds, when approved, are credited back to the original payment method by Paddle and may take an additional 5–10 business days to appear, depending on your bank or card issuer.
8. Chargebacks and Payment Disputes
If you have a billing concern, please contact us or Paddle first. We are committed to resolving legitimate issues. If you initiate a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card provider without first contacting us or Paddle, we reserve the right to:
- Suspend or terminate your account pending resolution of the dispute;
- Provide transaction records and usage data to Paddle and to the payment processor in response to the dispute;
- Permanently terminate the account if the chargeback is determined to have been filed in bad faith.
9. Account Termination for Policy Violation
If your account is terminated by Animy for violation of our Terms of Service or Acceptable Use rules, no refund will be issued for any remaining subscription balance. Termination for policy violation constitutes forfeiture of all paid subscription fees.
10. Price Changes
We may change subscription prices at any time. Existing subscribers will be notified in advance, and the new pricing will apply at the start of the next billing period after the notice period. You may cancel before the new pricing takes effect.
11. Changes to This Refund Policy
We may update this Refund Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date. Your continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
